THE PREPARATION
O God, make speed to save us.
O Lord, make haste to help us.
Glory to the Father and to the Son
and to the Holy Spirit;
as it was in the beginning is now
and shall be for ever. Amen.
A Hymn may be sung, the following or some other.
Lord Christ, you came on us to shine
True light from the eternal light!
And now the Father’s brightness rests
On those who long have dwelt in night.
O see how all that lives and breathes
True homage gives in deed and word:
The glory of almighty God,
The Father’s image, Christ our Lord.
Ordinary Time Doxology
We bless the Father, Fount of light,
And you, O Christ, beloved Son,
Who, with the Spirit, dwell in us;
The only God; the Three in One. Amen.
